Your role

This is a customer facing but technical individual contributor role, Quorso employs a differentiated approach to data flexibility versus traditional enterprise SaaS providers.

We provide a high degree of flexibility rather than being overly prescriptive on our data acquisition approach including building our own flexible ETL tooling.

This requires a degree of discovery with clients to scope and implement the right infrastructure, transfer and user management approaches.

Your role therefore covers both customer, implementation and engineering.

Your responsibilities will include:

Working with stakeholders of our enterprise customers to understand their data architecture and understand and define the optimal data pipeline approach for Quorso's platform and use cases.

Improving documentation and producing scoping and implementation documents for clients.

Building appropriate data architectures and pipelines as well as preparing data for data science work.

Working closely with client IT teams, Quorso Customer, implementation and Engineering teams to deliver successful technical roll-outs at Quorso.

Continually exploring new opportunities for data acquisition and ways to reduce IT overhead for Quorso's clients.

You will have:

• 3+ years of general experience in data engineering
• Experience in building data integration and ingestion pipelines incl. using some of major data providers like Snowflake, Databricks etc
• Hands on experience with SQL and RDBMS databases design incl. working with related shell utilities like snowsql, psql etc
• Knowledge of a scripting programming language (Ruby or Python)
• The ability to build relationships with clients' IT teams
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, able to work with business and technical teams
• Great numerical and analytical skills
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field from a leading university; Master's degree is a plus

Even better if you have:

• Data engineering certification
• Experience working across multiple IT projects
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS infrastructures related to working with data (databases, file storages, encryption and secrets management)
• Proficiency with linux shell scripting and file manipulation related commands (encryption, moving around, grepping and filtering content using regular expressions)
