We have a vacancy for a Depot Assistant at our Pirtek Edinburgh Centre. As a Depot Assistant, you will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service in operational and sales activities, ensuring customers receive a fast and efficient response to sales enquiries, building customer loyalty and enhancing the company's reputation for service.
Key functions & responsibilities

Skills & competencies

Administrative support to the franchise principal

Answering the phone and helping the Centre Manager to control and direct the mobile engineers and vans
Always be well presented and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
Assemble hydraulic hoses to customer requirements.
Assist with stock control, ordering and product sourcing
Proactively sell to both existing and new customers in order to meet and exceed sales and margin targets, and to continually work to build and develop the customer base at the branch
Accurate and regular order entry to help achieve minimum time delay between receipt of order and dispatch of goods, therefore maximising sales / stock turnover
Log and process jobs through the Pirtek IT system

Pro actively promote Pirtek products and services to walk in customers

Day to day operation of the sales counter area, ensuring it is kept clean, presentable, well stocked and merchandised at all times
Actively promote Pirtek products and services to Trade Counter customers
Abide by terms and conditions in your Employment Contract and Confidentiality Agreement

Work experience:
