    We are looking for an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join a well-run, ambitious and growing Principle Contractor.

    The company undertakes multi-disciplinary projects from a range of clients in the Commercial, Automotive Manufacturing, F1 , Light Industrial, Defence and NHS sectors . Project Values range from £250k up to £20 million.

    The role is based from an office in Sonning near Henley On Thames, and from home.

    Reporting to the Commercial Director as a Preconstruction Manager you will be responsible for taking ownership of the Preconstruction process including Estimating.

    As a Preconstruction Manager your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Plan and manage all aspects of bids providing subject matter expertise.
    • Ensure effective and inspirational bid management and leadership personally managing key tender opportunities.
    • Undertake Project visits to review sites.
    • Prepare take-offs and budgets.
    • Manage relationships with specialist subcontractors.
    • Maintain effective communication with clients, project team, consultants/architect/engineers & subcontractors.
    • Develop bid scope for trade packages and vet subcontractors to ensure compliance with bid scope.
    • Write and ensure execution of all subcontracts and purchase orders.
    • Develop preconstruction schedule and monitor progress.
    • Manage billings and cost procedures during preconstruction.
    • Develop construction schedules.
    • Present job cost, scheduling updates, and budget updates at regular intervals.

    A varied an interesting role, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a solid technical understanding of the construction process combined with a broad range of UK Construction Package Estimating experience.

    With great long term career prospects and the chance to work on some diverse projects the role comes with a basic salary of £95k-£110k ( DOE) plus annual bonus, company car/car allowance, pension medical and 25 days holiday.
