Grants and Research Finance Analyst:
up to £39,326. SE London
For a large University in Southeast London, we're recruiting a Grants and Research Finance Analyst. This role will work closely with the finance business partnering team, focusing on Research and Enterprise projects.

The Grants and Research Finance Analystwill coordinate the financial management of projects across research which are funded by a range of Donors including Gates Foundation, FCDO, and EU.

This role will support the team in the use of Oracle EPM and in the budgeting, forecasting and month-end timetables.


Main Duties:


  • Financial performance management of donor and grant funded projects, reviewing spend against budget, liaising with project managers, project funders and project auditors
  • Monitoring of the University grants for research and enterprise, setting up project codes, reviewing spend, journals and other performance data
  • Assisting the FP&A team with preparing TRAC and other returns
  • Calculating work in progress (WIP) for research and enterprise contracts
  • Supporting the build of budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting local audits of research grants and other external funding
  • Working with the finance business partners to drive collaboration and continuous improvement

Person Specification:


  • Experience of working in a busy Finance office, ideally the nonprofit sector
  • Experience of restricted funding
  • Experience of grants, research, and contracts management
  • Ideally experience of working within Higher Education and Universities
  • Oracle EPM Cloud experience
