Description
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader to head up our Craft department.We want you to inspire students to understand and love their subject, achieve outstanding results and become equipped to join the screen industries or progress to higher education when they leave us.
The successful candidate will have responsibility in leading, developing and managing the Craft Department which is a pathway of around 180 students.
The Craft department aims to introduce students to the fundamentals including Art Direction, Costume and Hair & Makeup in year one before students specialise in one area in the second year and a third year Level 4 course if students choose.
The candidate will have overall responsibility for the progress, completion and attainment for students in this department.They will line manage a team of teachers and technicians delivering on the course and will support with the curriculum development.
We are keen to hear from teachers with backgrounds in industry, as this course will have a strong industry focus with students working to create moving image work that is to industry standards.
