The post holder will support the Capital Development Team in the delivery of a compliant, high-quality, safe, efficient and value for money capital programme.


The Trust is currently carrying out significant works to improve the compliance of its infrastructure and has also developed proposals with regards to service reconfiguration in conjunction with national and regional strategic priorities.

The Trust is looking to develop its services in-line with the strategic priorities, but also carry out further significant compliance works, including electrical infrastructure, fire and other critical infrastructure improvements.


The post holder will be expected to assist in the delivery all aspects of project management, from minor schemes to major re-development and manage their own projects where delegated.


The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Capital Project managers within the Capital Development Team, (including externally-appointed Project Management), through the delivery of a high-quality and cost-effective project management service on behalf of Estate Services/ Facilities Directorate.


To assist in co-ordinating and managing the Estate Services capital projects in compliance with all appropriate legislative and statutory requirements and Trust and NHS guidance and frameworks.

To assist in the successful preparation and implementation of the Trust's capital programme.

  • Assist Capital Project managers, (internal and external), in managing, monitoring and coordinating all activity required for the successful delivery of Estates. This will include project management of the business case, specification development, design and implementation phases and also carrying out the PM role on delegated schemes.
  • Carrying out the design and specification of minor projects, including the provision of feasibilities, budgets and coordination of CAD drawings, specifications and tender information.
  • Ensure the Capital Process Manual is adhered to and the designed processes within and collaborate with the effective administration of the Estate Services Capital Development Team.
