Location :
Harwell, Didcot, Oxfordshire, UK with 2/3 days working from home per week
The Challenge:
They are seeking a proactive team player, with experience in developing streamlined ways of working, to join them in a newly created Service department.
It requires strong stakeholder management and commercial skills.
Location is flexible with their principal offices in Harwell Oxfordshire, the role may require travel to other offices in the UK.
Key responsibilities:
- The Service Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and embedding the processes needed to develop a sustainable and scalable approach to their current service offering.
- Using the processes they have established, the Service Manager will manage the large and diverse set of services that they currently offer that include business support, training courses, specialised facilities, workshops and expert advice.
- The Service Manager will work across the business developing effective frameworks to ensure the client receives the professional service they are requesting.
- The Service Manager will be responsible for developing service level agreements for each type of service.
- Be able to establish risk assessments to ensure smooth delivery of contracts
- Develop and present this new way of working to internal management and executives

Skills & Experience required:
- You will have experience in Service Delivery Management (with experience outside of IT Service Delivery) following process and engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality services
- Strong team player, comfortable to work in a matrix management environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- Good data analysis, planning and organisational skills
- Have knowledge of Service Level Agreements and ensure that the service provided meets these requirements
- Can use your excellent relationship management skills to deliver effective stakeholder management

This role sits within Delivery Team and their aim is to:
- Provide effective delivery of Projects and Service,
- Implement, manage and report on Governance activities, and
- Drive continuous improvement to enact meaningful change
