    Fabric Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Multi Trader | Reading, Berkshire & Surrounding Areas | £38K - £40K basic salary + £10K - £20K of additional earnings, van + employment package | Commercial Environments.

    Are you a skilled Fabric Engineer / Multi Trader with experience in commercial maintenance? Are you comfortable carrying out planned maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance / emergency works across basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating etc? Would a role within an hour of Reading suit you? If you answered yes to the above then we want to speak with you Due to expanding contracts, we are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer / Multi Trader to join the team in delivering building fabric works across a commercial portfolio of properties including; restaurants, pubs, retail stores, coffee shops, supermarkets, care homes etc.

    Works will be both planned maintenance (PPMs) and reactive / emergency call outs for clients. Further duties will be listed below.


    Package:
    What is in it for you? * Attractive basic salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum. * Hours: 08:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. * High amounts of paid overtime available - additional earnings £5K - £15K dependant on lifestyle choice. * Overtime rates: x1.5 rate, Monday to Saturday, 06:00am until midnight, x2 overnight or anytime Sundays and Bank Holidays. * Paid weekly. * Company van, fuel card, uniform, phone etc included. * Call out: Standby 1 in 4 weeks.

    £60-80 per call out - this rate covers travel time and first hour on site, following this you will be paid overtime rates.

    * Locations: Within 60-90 minutes of home address. Berkshire / Hampshire / Surrey, Oxfordshire etc. * Permanent, PAYE role.


    Duties:

    All round building fabric duties - planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns / fault finding / emergency call outs and project / priced works.

    A more advanced skillset across any of the below is highly advantageous, however minimum expected skillset would include:

    • Carpentry - removal / installation of fixtures/fittings such as handles, locks, hinges. Installing wooden shelving, hanging cupboards, assembling flat pack furniture.
    • Plumbing - leak detection, removing/installing taps, washers, flushers, internal blockages, replacing seals.
    • Painting and Decorating - preparing surfaces ie: covering fixtures and furniture, removal of old paint, filling holes/cracks, sanding down, washing surfaces, applying paint.
    • Pumps / Heat Pumps - fault finding, component replacement, replacement / installation.

    Requirements:

    • A trade qualification is highly preferable, however we will also accept "time served".

    Ideal qualifications would include one of the following:
    City and Guilds
    • Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting and Decorating or similar.
    * Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within commercial environments. * Happy to work on a fast paced reactive basis - realistically 4-8 jobs per day.
