This exciting role will primarily cover Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

The post will provide robust assurance to the trust that the procurement and contracts department is delivering high quality, world class procurement practice, providing transparent assurance that the trust is achieving best value for money at all times.


Provide a procurement service to Oxleas NHS FT, undertaking quotes / tenders and other tasks which occur in a busy procurement team, in order to achieve best value for all non pay spend categories.


The postholder will be working for the Smart Together Procurement shared service, hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The shared service provides procurement services to GSTT, Lewisham and Greenwich, Great Ormond Street Hospital, South London and Maudsley NHS FT and from the 1st of December Oxleas NHS FT.

The role will achieve cash releasing savings and value for money, ensuring whole life costing is considered.


To run and manage procurement projects, this role will require a strategic, planned approach that will be rolled out across the trust and will involve extensive stakeholder engagement with trust staff and suppliers in order to establish the right products for the right price.

The focus will be on standardising and rationalising the products that we purchase and driving value for money from these products by engaging stakeholders to better understand the need for goods and services and improving relationships with key suppliers.
