Ward & Burke is seeking to employ a Graduate SHEQ Advisor on a permanent basis for their Southern SHEQ team. The position entails traveling to various sites and offers the flexibility of hybrid working. Our experienced team will provide mentorship and support to help you develop your professional skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with the day-to-day tasks related to health, safety, quality, environmental and sustainability management.
• Working with the SHEQ Team, to develop your skillset.
• Carrying out safety audits and inspections.
• Developing and implementing safety controls.
• Carrying out incident investigations.
• Creating and reviewing safe systems of works.
• Advising on and arranging training as per the training matrix and identifying training requirements
• Liaison with clients and other contractors.
• Monitoring and reporting on safety performance.

Education, Skills & Experience

• BSc in Health, Safety and Environment Management or equivalent.
• Technical membership of IOSH is desirable, but Ward & Burke can support you to achieve this.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and other relevant legislation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Hold a full driving licence.
