Estimator & Senior Estimator

Northampton

Monday-Friday

Up to £50k DOE


Are you an experienced and established Estimator, now looking to progress in your career? Our market leading client within the construction industry, are looking for a Senior Estimator to join their Northampton branch.

As a senior member you will be fundamentalto the business winning projects with an overall goal of achieving turnover and profitability.


Key Duties:


  • Understanding client needs
  • Preparation of tenders for projects
  • Continuous management of key tenders
  • Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts
  • Completion of tender review for all estimates
  • Preparing and submitting quotations for work
  • Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities
  • Gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Completion of tender handovers for contracts awarded
  • Researching materials, equipment, and labour costs.
  • Review and provide a proposal for improved Purchasing
  • Prepare construction budgets & labour profiles prior to tender handover
  • Supporting and developing junior estimators
  • Leading by example to show best practise
  • Supporting the Pre-Construction Manager in developing and growing the team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • An Analytical thinker
  • Attention to detail
  • Selfmotivated
  • An excellent communicator both written and verbally
  • A strong leader
  • Have a supportive and collaborative approach to your work
  • Experienced in the Estimating process and have an understanding of industry knowledge
