- Deliver teaching within the academy (own subject), as required,modelling excellence in specialist SEN teaching.
- Support effective teaching and learning throughout the academy andmonitor and evaluate the individual progress made, effectively using benchmarksto track and set targets for improvements.

- Ensure that the academycarries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with anEducation, Health and Care Plan.

- Advise the leadership teamof priorities for deployment of staff, and utilise resources with maximumefficiency.

- Contribute to theperformance management of support staff.
