Role purpose:


To assist in the execution of marketing and business development plans for the firm's growth areas, offices and key clients.

Reporting to the Clients & Markets Manager, the role is responsible for providing high quality and effective Marketing and Business Development (MBD) support.

This includes client care, business development, bids and tenders support and sector-focused marketing activity.


Principal responsibilities:


  • Help to deliver the firm's strategy working across the full spectrum of Marketing and Business Development activity to raise our profile in key markets
  • Plan, execute and followup external and inhouse events
  • Identify thought leadership opportunities and share with relevant groups
  • Create and update marketing collateral
  • Assist with the planning, coordination and measurement of overseas MBD trips
  • Contribute to sectorbased campaigns, nationally and internationally
  • Update insights, events and attorney biographies on our website
  • Post content to our social media channels on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
  • Administration of the sales pipeline, liaising directly with attorneys around client and market opportunities
  • Source and collate material from teams and individuals for legal directory submissions
  • Work with our UK Bids & Tenders Manager to source and collate material from teams and individuals and format documents to a high standard in line with our brand guidelines
  • Assist with our client listening programme including helping client teams to implement recommendations from survey results
  • Develop knowledge of the key issues impacting our legal and technological sectors

Technical knowledge, professional qualifications and experience:

  • One year's experience in a business development / marketing role
  • Experience working within a professional services environment (desired but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive approach
  • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Lateral thinking and the ability to overcome obstacles
  • A high level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
  • Determination and commitment to meet deadlines
  • The ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload whilst maintaining a high level of quality and service
  • Strong initiative and creativity
