    The school has exciting vacancies and would like to appoint an enthusiastic and organised placement student to undertake a 12 month work placement to support its activities in the following subject areas: Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Civil Engineering .

    Please note this position is only open to students studying at Birmingham City University within the College of Engineering.

    This is a multi-faceted role where the candidate will be expected to be responsible for activities to promote engineering at BCU so as to attract new students, industry partners, research and employment opportunities. This includes assisting with the organisation and delivery of open days, applicant taster days and other course related events.

    The position will involve flexible working as required, including some evenings and weekends.

    It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be a student on a relevant engineering programme with excellent organisation, communication, problem solving and presentation skills.

    This post is only open to candidates already resident and studying on an undergraduate course. Applicants are advised to check with their Course Administrator regarding how this placement could affect their course fees and funding arrangements.

    The successful candidate will have completed year two of a relevant degree with appropriate content to one of: Mechanical, automotive, manufacturing, electronics or civil engineering.
