Becoming a role model doesn't need a full-time commitment – we need volunteers in all sorts of roles. So, if you want to help behind the scenes, at special events or get involved every week, there's loads of ways to inspire girls with Girlguiding.
Under 18? You can volunteer with us from age 13 upwards – join today as a young leader, for your DofE as a young external volunteer or a peer educator. All great ways to be a force for good
Volunteer with girls at unit meetings
At the heart of guiding are the unit meetings that girls go along to each week. Volunteering at unit meetings means getting messy, meeting new people and running activities that help girls discover their potential. You'll volunteer directly with young people and can choose to work with girls in Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Rangers. Unit meetings are usually an hour once a week.
