We have a job vacancy for a Finance Inputting Clerk for the Trust.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will encompass a wide range of areas of the central support services of the Trust.

The role is based in either Derby or Tamworth and will require some travel to the Trust's other Academies.

Person specification

General

  • Attention to detail and appreciation of need for accuracy when dealing with complex tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and use initiative to solve problems and achieve deadlines
  • Ability to work with integrity and discretion in an environment with high levels of confidentiality
  • A good communicator who can work well within a team
  • Skilled in the use of ICT especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable and punctual individual who can react to changing circumstances
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges and work outside comfort zones
  • Ability to be hands on but also able to work on strategic projects
  • Be prepared for occasional travel between Company site
  • Knowledge of the Education sector and experience of PS Financials desirable

Finance

  • Good numerical skills
  • Experience invoice processing desirable

Job description

Finance

  • Processing of Trust purchase orders
  • Processing purchase invoices for the Trust
  • Raising sales invoices for the Trust and chasing outstanding debtors
  • Setting up new suppliers within the finance system
  • Monitoring debtors collection
  • Completing periodic supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with supplier queries
  • Responsible for cash management at Trust sites
Any other appropriate duties as directed by the Head of Finance or Deputy CEO
