    Garden Maintenance Supervisor

    Our client seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to be responsible for the daily running of the Maintenance Team throughout an assigned portfolio of high-end residential and commercial properties - to deliver safe and compliant services while meeting contractual specifications on time and on budget.

    You will be accountable to the Head of Maintenance

    SITE OPERATIONS:

    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality, safety standards, and timely execution of tasks.
    • Proactive management of the maintenance team garden reports, ensuring efficient remedial action by outsourcing to the Maintenance Supervisor: Small Works and timely communication to clients.
    • Supervise and execute general garden maintenance, encompassing mowing, pruning, mulching, irrigation, and pre-planting area preparations.
    • Perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
    • Ensure proper care and maintenance of all equipment used in maintenance operations.
    • Provide cover & support for maintenance & soft landscaping teams during periods of annual leave and/or sick leave, or as required.

    TEAM MANAGEMENT:

    • Collaborate with Team Leaders to ensure that all team members are adequately equipped with essential tools, equipment, and materials daily.
    • Schedule and conduct regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, safety measures, and any required updates.
    • Enforce Health & Safety procedures, including timely reporting and assessments, using our software system to drive ISO compliance.

    ADMINISTRATION:

    • Engage in communication with clients and subcontractors as needed.
    • Attend and report at fortnightly maintenance management meetings.
    • Attend regular Health & Safety Committee meetings.
    • Resourcing & schedule adjustments, including communicating all schedules to teams.
    • Thoroughly monitor irrigation systems, outsourcing shutdowns, start-up programs and remedial actions to Small Works.
    • Ensure timely and adequate stock of materials for teams, ordering essentials like cleaning products and fertilisers to maintain uninterrupted operations throughout the year.
    • Ensure lock up unit is kept tidy, safe and well stocked.
    • Plan, price, and supervise small landscape improvement projects for existing clients, such as bed replanting, to be completed within small works projects.
    • Maintain strong relationships with employees, subcontractors, and clients, promoting a positive work environment and a strong professional reputation.
    • Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Head of Maintenance, ensuring the health and safety guidelines are always upheld.

    • Salary: £ 38,000 - £42,000 per annum DOE
