    The role

    Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position in to work part time on an CCLG-funded project: Understanding paediatric ambulatory chemotherapy service provision within the UK. The successful post holder will be based in the School of Health Sciences, working with Dr Gemma Bryan, together with Dr Jess Morgan from Leeds Children's Hospital.

    The aim of this project is to understand the current status of ambulatory chemotherapy provision within paediatric oncology services across the UK. Taking into account both how services have been implemented and the current experience of receiving or delivering care, this project will consider a range of issues related to AC, which will develop iteratively as data is collected and analysed.

    About you

    The post holder must have:

    • A PhD or equivalent experience in health sciences, psychology or related disciplines
    • Expertise in qualitative research methods, ideally the use of participant observation and / or photovoice
    • Experience of navigating NHS ethical and R&D approvals
    • The ability to work both independently and part of a team. Hybrid working available.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • The ability to travel to study sites to collect data (UK and Ireland only) including some overnight stays
