This is a full-time role permanent role. (35 hours per week)

EDT is undertaking an ambitious program of digital transformation and we are seeking talented, motivated individuals to help us deliver this transformation.

You'll join the Digital, Data and Technology team which is responsible for enhancing organisational outcomes and effectiveness through the strategic deployment and integration of highly capable digital platforms, robust infrastructure, effective solution delivery, timely and efficient support, agile software development and insightful data analysis.

The Senior Project Manager has a key role to play in managing the implementation of strategic organisation-wide solutions, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget to deliver the defined business benefits.

To ensure we capitalise on the opportunities provided by advances in digital technology we are expanding our digital systems teams with several key new roles.

Whilst the focus of the role will be on projects relating to the implementation of digital, data and technology solutions, the role is ultimately responsible for the delivery of business benefits and organisational change.

The postholder will take responsibility for the delivery of projects defined as part of the strategic transformation roadmap. The scope and the influence of this role is all business areas globally. Budget management, change control management and risk management are key processes that will be employed.

The work will be highly varied and will include supporting internal systems and educational development programmes in the UK, Middle East and sub-Saharan regions.

Person Specification:
Knowledge Essential:

Qualification / accreditation in the use of a recognised structured project management methodology. Prince 2, Agile/Scrum etc

Understanding of full software development lifecycles and projects and their management, including agile methodologies.

A broad knowledge and understanding of the application of digital technologies and data to solve organisational problems and deliver business benefits.

Competence with project management and workload tools including MS project and Jira.

Essential Experience:

Significant experience and a proven track record of managing and delivering complex and large (ie. £1m+) projects.

Proven experience as a senior project manager in leading within complex environments and delivering outcomes through effective relationship building.

Demonstrable experience of successful project implementation within the context of the impact of organisational process and system change together with effective project dependency management

Able to demonstrate the ability to manage a portfolio of projects to a successful conclusion

Experience of effective matrix management of resources from multiple teams/organisations is essential
