    Job Role

    VINCI Building is recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner to manage all aspects of the HR function for the delegation. This will involve coaching and enabling managers in people management and providing a proactive end to end comprehensive HR service.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide specialist support to managers on complex ER issues, case management, investigating and resolving grievances/ disciplinaries, performance management, absence management, TUPE, workplace mediation etc...
    • Working with the business unit leadership team to support resourcing and recruitment to meet current and future workloads
    • Advise managers on pay and reward. Reviewing decisions to ensure fairness and inclusion and addressing the gender pay gap
    • Working with managers on change programmes and initiatives to ensure that our people strategies are truly aligned to the business ambitions
    • Performance management - working with managers to adopt a performance driven culture and to address poor performance
    • Be commercially aware, understand forms of contract in construction and their impact on operational HR and our wider people strategy.
    • Working alongside our VINCI Academy, identify and develop talent, career and succession planning, supported by the People Review and Personal Development Review processes and be a champion for these activities.
    • Identify 'Value-Add' HR activities & initiatives appropriate to the Client base, understand and communicate the business case, identify appropriate objectives, create action plans and implement these.
    • Be responsible for driving our Fairness, Inclusion and Respect agenda across your client business by identifying areas for improvement, setting KPI's and championing the business case for improving inclusion and closing our gender pay gap.
    • Managing redundancy programmes, and other severance processes, including coaching and upskilling managers in these areas.
    • Interpret project data from our employee engagement tool, providing feedback to the Delegation and creating and implementing action plans to maximise participation and outcomes of the survey. This will cover wellbeing, diversity and engagement initiatives in addition to upskilling managers, encouraging use of Performance Management system and increasing awareness of our competency framework and career opportunities.
    • Support managers in understanding their responsibilities with contingent workers, subcontractors and consultants.
    • Work with our bid team to help shape our tenders and pre-qualifications, ensuring that we are proactively looking for opportunities where HR can add value to the businesses ability to secure future work.

    Person Specification

    • Extensive Employee Relations experience in dealing with complex ER issues
    • Understanding of the main working rule agreements within the construction and civil engineering sectors
    • Experience of working at a strategic level in HR, preferably within the construction / civil engineering or similar industry
    • Experience of leading EDI initiatives to truly drive change is desirable
