Description

As a Plant and Transport Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to support the GCU Depot Teams and the Transport Manager in the administration associated with the tracking and reporting of GCU assets.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the timely supply and ongoing management of fit-for-purpose plant, equipment, and vehicles while driving utilization and efficiencies through maintenance and management.


Key Duties:


  • Process plant and vehicle issue, return, and damage assessment reports accurately.
  • Maintain electronic GCU plant asset files, including scanning and filing of manuals, certification, job cards, and audits.
  • Serve as the central link between all Regional Depot Teams, ensuring seamless communication and documentation flow.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Team for the contracharge of any plant and vehicle damages.
  • Manage the external plant hire log and provide weekly circulation of 3rd party onhire lists to the Depot Teams.
  • Track and report on Plant Audits and Depot Level Gate Checks.
  • Coordinate the weekly Plant Meeting, including meeting setup, agenda distribution, minute taking, and action management.
  • Conduct vehicle taxing for GCU/Shoreline fleet.
  • Monitor GCU vehicle list vs insurance logs on a monthly basis.
  • Update the GCU AdBlue, Fuel, and emissions log monthly.
  • Record and process any FPNs or drivingrelated offences.
  • Prepare data (Plant/Vehicle) for Monthly Depot Performance meetings.
  • Act as a super user of GCU Internal Plant Hire Desk Module (COINS).

Skills and Experience Required:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Wellorganized and able to work to deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Working experience in Utilities/Construction industry is not required but preferred.
