I am currently recruiting a Project Manager with Transformation experience to work within Children's services at Hampshire County Council.


To be successful as a Project Manager in the Transformation Practice you will bring an abundance of enthusiasm, energy, drive and focus to achieve great transformational outcomes.

You'll need to balance operational effectiveness with conscious thinking and,most importantly, you'll need to be able to build trust and win the hearts and minds of the people you are working with.


The Transformation Practice, reporting through the Assistant Director of Transformation to the Children's Services Departmental Management Team, is a professional group of internal management consultants that play a key role in leading and supporting servicetransformation and change across the Children's Services.

We are looking for two interim project managers to support the transformation agenda and ensure change is designed and delivered in a sustainable way.


Project managers will:

  • Provide leadership and support to the settingup of transformation projects, subsequently ensuring that they deliver on time and to the agreed quality, with a relentless focus on improving outcomes and benefits realisation.
  • Be accountable for the daytoday management and delivery of the project, with responsibility for ensuring project governance and controls are in place and that risks, dependencies and change impacts are effectively managed.
  • Production and maintenance of all project documentation, including business cases that communicate a compelling case for change, PiDs, RAIDs, highlight reports, communication & engagement plans and other presentations as required.
  • Build strong business relationships with project and departmental stakeholders, as well as internal clients across Children's Services department.


Whilst the role has no line management responsibility, Project Managers will lead and facilitate project teams, ensuring delivery of workstreams.


They are expected to use delivery assurance processes to provide feedback on performance during and at the end of each assignment.
