As a Barclays Policy, Standards & Controls Manager you will lead the receipt, analysis, validation and investigative response to comply with legal court orders submitted by issuing authorities through the supply of information or the fulfilment of freezingand restraint orders.

You will be in charge of establishing and implementing comprehensive and relevant investigatory policies and procedures as well as building and maintaining robust governance, risk & controls environment for the department.

What will you be doing?:


  • Working in alignment to the CSO strategic plan, delivering a policy standards and governance model, enhancing knowledge sharing and operational efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining all Court Orders team (COT) policies & standards in line with regulatory, legal and industry best practice
  • Implementing a review process to ensure that the Court Orders team meets its regulatory commitments in relation to conduct and data privacy reporting
  • Contributing towards the COT QC, QA and Training methodology
  • Managing COT processes, ensuring these are fit for purpose and remain up to date
  • Ensuring the meticulous management of all documentation, in accordance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
  • Providing scheduled and adhoc reporting and feedback to Director Court Orders in respect of the Court Orders service, to inform their strategy implementation
  • Contributing to the ongoing Court Orders Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process, conformance testing and investigations quality assurance programme

What we're looking for:


  • Extensive experience of designing, writing, and publishing Policies, Procedures; Processes and Standards within a heavily regulated or governed environment
  • Widespread knowledge of designing and implementing changes to processes, procedures and workflow across multiple disciplines and/or business areas
  • An in depth knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and how inadequate controls or failing controls within the Court orders space can directly impact Barclays
  • Ability to prove exceptional attention to detail

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Working experience in a Court Orders Service area or team
  • Experience of assessing and triaging investigations, and / or conducting investigations and / or writing investigative policy and procedure
  • Practical knowledge of case management and why it is required from a judicial, regulatory and business perspective
  • Clear understanding of global data privacy and data protection regulations

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff.

The office location is perfect for travel from the midlandsand London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
