    Description

    Title: Implementation Lead - Service Management

    Location: Remote

    Length: 6 months

    Summary

    This opportunity will be working alongside the Service Management Team within Operational Resilience. The requirement of this contract will be to scope the design implementation strategy across Supply Chain Management, Technology Risk Management, 3rd party vendors, infrastructure and OMI.

    You will be required to put together an implementation plan and manage the schedule of releases, liaising with the GB/Entities so all stakeholders understand both the technical and business changes that are being implemented.

    This project will coincide with the new regulations that are currently being introduced by the BOE, FCA and the PRA. The pandemic has put operational resilience at the forefront of people's minds. Given the critical nature of securities services in the financial system, it is vital that providers have well-tested mechanisms and redundancy processes that can weather extreme disruption.

    Top things to consider:

    • Identify what services are critical, namely those which would cause major disruption in the event of an outage.
    • Internal stress testing must be thorough and rigorous.
    • Providers need to establish contingency plans should a critical outsourced or IT vendor fail.

    Responsibilities:

    Project Planning and Execution:

    • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of implementation projects within the Operational Resilience domain.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and 3rd party vendors

    Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Identify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project timelines or deliverables, and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the implementation process.
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement controls to safeguard the integrity and security of financial systems and data.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance implementation methodologies, processes, and tools.
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders and project team members to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains.
    • Leverage industry best practices and emerging technologies to streamline implementation processes and deliver innovative solutions.

    Background

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
    • Proven experience within similar Operational Resilience projects designing implementation strategies and Release Management
    • You must be ITIL qualified
    • Have experience in scheduling/coordinating technical and non-technical implementations
    • Ability to communicate technical and non technical information to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Experience in managing 3rd party vendors
    • Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements within operational resilience
    • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross functional teams
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.
