    Teacher of Music and Drama

    Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
    Start date: September 2024
    Contract: Full Time, Maternity Cover

    Salary: MPS/UPS; £30,000 - £46,525 per annum

    Are you a dedicated and passionate Music and Drama Teacher ? Do you have a strong commitment to fostering academic growth and positively impacting students' lives? If so, GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Music and Drama to join an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary School in Selby, North Yorkshire , starting from September 2024 . The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons, fostering a love for the performing arts, and contributing to the school's creative environment.

    Teacher of Music and Drama Responsibilities:

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Music and Drama lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
    • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and examination board requirements.
    • Contribute to full lesson planning, prepping and marking of assessments to evaluate students' understanding and progress, offering timely and constructive feedback to support their learning.
    • Identify and address diverse learning needs, providing additional support or enrichment opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Music and Drama curriculum.

    Teacher of Music and Drama Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • A degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
    • Proven experience teaching Music and Drama at the secondary school level.
    • Strong command of the curriculum and effective behavior management skills.
    • Commitment to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
    • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
