Statkraft has been active in the UK since 2003.

We develop, own and operate renewable power production facilities, and are also involved in the trading and origination of power, gas, biomass and renewable certificates from our own projects and those of third parties.

We have grown to be the market leading provider of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to renewable energy generators and to distributed flexible generators in the UK & Ireland, and a significant participant in UK Trading and Origination.

Job Description:


Your Role:

As part of Commercial Origination, your role will include:

  • Assisting and supporting with the development and negotiation of PPA contracts around wind, solar and renewable power purchases, with the view to building future expertise and individual capability
  • Assisting and supporting with the development and negotiation of full end to end customer contracts around flex optimisation of batteries, gas engines and hydrogen, with the aim of managing this process independently over time
  • Exploring and collating the research and analysis of current and future market views of the UK Energy market, seeking out potential opportunities for business growth and keeping abreast of current and incoming regulatory requirements
  • Seeking out and building your network of, and relationships with, key internal and external stakeholders, proactively engaging in discussions and working closely with clients, customers, industry analysts, colleagues and support units
  • Exploring possibilities for system / process innovation within the team, in order to help deliver operational excellence and competitor advantage
  • Attend formal and informal training and development opportunities to expand and build on existing knowledge

Qualifications:


Your Skills:


  • Previous experience in a relatable commercial role (e.g. sales, business development, commercial analyst), where you have demonstrated the ability to help deliver value / change and work on your own initiative (within the Energy industry is a plus, but not essential)
  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders
  • Intellectually and commercially curious, with a keen interest to challenge in order to understand
  • Resultsorientated, and enjoys contributing to the team's success
  • Selfmotivated, team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English
