Description

We are working with a Trade Finance specialist Banking organisation who are seeking an addition to their Trade Finance Middle Office team.

You will be responsible to support the bank's trade finance and distribution businesses, by reviewing transactionsagainst bank policies, procedures, risk appetite and credit approved terms, checking and executing documentation and monitoring transactions.

Supporting clients as required, including query resolution.

Key Responsiblities

Review trade finance transactions to ensure that they meet the terms of credit and product approvals, fall within the bank's risk appetite, and can be monitored against both in system and off system limits and caps in terms of exposure size and tenor.
Review distribution transactions to ensure that they meet the terms of credit and product approvals, and can be adequately monitored. Complete and exchange trade documentation in line with standard templates. Escalate nonstandard documentation to managementor Legal.
Resolving client queries in a timely manner, providing a high quality of service at all times and escalating issues where necessary.
Understanding the needs of each front office desk and providing support where required
Understand approved product variations, and endtoend approval and execution processes, working with Operations to ensure these are operated consistently.
Referral and escalation of transactions which do not appear to meet approved terms, or require additional scrutiny because they have characteristics which fall outside of client/product norms, or are mandated for additional approval due to bank policy.
Review of trade finance transactions prior to deal acceptance and processing by Operations.
Escalating breaches and other issues to Risk Management and Front Office departments; seeking approval for exceptions where reasonable.

Experience and Qualifications

Banking experience, preferably in a trade finance environment
Understanding of distribution and credit insurance
Good understanding the risks inherent in trade finance business
Good understanding of trade finance products, and documentation
High levels of organisation and attention to detail; ability to prioritise transactions and interact effectively with other teams
