- Develop and initiate the short-term operational PSV plans in conjunction with the client Delivery Team, taking consideration of when materials need to be offshore/onshore, priorities and optimising vessel time and deck utilisation.
- Maintain and issue the daily sailing plan in conjunction with the requirements and priorities as directed by the business, but always in conjunction with the client Delivery Team
- Provide one daily Marine report incorporating PSV sailing plan and the location of all vessels associated with client operations.
- Compilation and distribution of the 72-hour load lists in conjunction with the offshore installations, and interface with the warehouse and vendors.
- Manage late cargo call-offs in accordance with client processes.
- Co-ordinate offshore installation priorities / restrictions with efficient vessel routing and ensure that requirements for fuel, potable water and backload space are met and incorporated into the daily plan.
- Management of wet bulk waste discharges, vessel bulk tank optimisation, backload status and vessel requirements for next port visit
- Co-ordinate with the Shipping Team the plan for working the vessel in port taking consideration of movements in port and minimising port idle time to efficiently turn the vessel around.
- Co-ordinate vessel crew changes/maintenance/dry docking so as not to endanger the Delivery operation and to highlight to the Delivery Team areas of reduced capacity that will cause disruption to operations.
- Maintain effective communications with the key stakeholders.
- Provide 24/7 shift cover to respond to changing priorities, unforeseen operational issues and when opportunities arise, to identify / facilitate vessel optimisation / sharing.
- Proactively engage with vessels to safely avoid unnecessary fuel consumption
- Re-route vessels if necessary, discussing operational concerns with client Logistics Delivery Team, installations and vessel Masters
- Ensure voyages are initiated in STAR and that voyage data and statistics are maintained and reported through operational KPIs
- Maintain 24/7 communications with offshore installations to ensure they are ready to work vessels in a timely manner, thereby minimising vessel idle time
- Monitor the whereabouts of client-chartered vessels including MODU, DSV, Survey vessels, flotels, crane barges etc., operating in client-controlled areas
- Challenge and highlight any areas of low or non-value activity and waste to the Delivery Team, incorporating continuous improvement and best practice where applicable
- Ensure that procedures, work instructions & company standards are followed
- Accurately use client systems WELS / SAP
- Ad hoc duties as required.
- Ensure the Performance Development Process is completed on an ongoing basis ensuring effective succession and talent development plans are in place.
- Dangerous Goods by Sea - IMDG
- Experience using SAP.
- Customer focused with a proven track record within supply chain logistics including quayside operations, marine coordination, and vessel scheduling.
- A clear understanding of the implications of adverse environmental and weather conditions on offshore vessel operations.

OBM are currently recruiting for a Supply Logistics Coordinator on behalf of oil and gas supplier client for a 6 month contract based in Aberdeen.
The successful candidate will be a key interface between the delivery team, offshore installations, client-chartered vessels and supply base contractor teams to ensure the supply operation is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively, taking full consideration of on-time delivery of materials/bulks to/from offshore.
