    Project Manager

    Liverpool – Hybrid

    Full-time

    A rare and exciting opportunity has come available for an experienced Project Manager to join the On-Site Energy team based in Liverpool.

    Managing the delivery of a portfolio of energy projects, you will have direct involvement in delivering the projects, including, mechanical & electrical design, procurement, installation, commissioning, initial operations, all whilst ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.

    You will be involved with developing the project design, including end user consultations as well as other tasks to develop the project execution plan.

    The work split between remote working and on sites throughout the UK. Attendance at our office in Liverpool will be required occasionally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Building and managing strong relationships with client representatives as well as internal stakeholders
    • Being proactive in the design and development of projects to improve the performance or reduce cost of implementation of the project, to the benefit of OSE and our customer
    • Produce the project execution plan "bible" for each project, for approval by the customer and OSE Board
    • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control measures are in place at all times throughout the project lifecycle
    • Demonstrating leadership in the area of safety and contract management at all times. Ensures all project activities associated with any project meet or exceed the appropriate health and safety standards.
    • Monitor and evaluate project risks throughout the lifecycle, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes
    • Have strong negotiation, communication/presentation and decisions making skills
    • Develop and manage subcontractors across the disciplines of civils, mechanical, electrical and controls
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, change orders, etc
    • Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting project status, project risks, key performance indicators, and upcoming milestones

    Key Requirements:

    • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree level qualification, or other relevant experience in facilities management, ideally including in Renewable Energy or Sustainability related topics
    • Proven experience in project management within the energy industry
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Familiarity with energy industry regulations and standards
    • Experience of delivering renewable energy, (CHP) Combined Heat and Power plants, steam boiler replacements and or/refrigeration projects
    • Experience of implementing energy projects utilising technologies used by OSE, including G99 and G100/2
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Excellent project management skills including budget and cost management
    • A strong commercial awareness to identify potential risks and develop mitigation solutions
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Capability to interpret technical drawings for electrical, mechanical and facilities
    • Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental regulation including experience of CDM Regulations and construction contracting
    • Valid Driving Licence and willingness to travel to project locations on a weekly basis
