    Cash Management / Payments Lawyer

    As a Barclays Cash Management / Payments Lawyer, you will undertake a mix of providing regulatory advice, transactional support, and product management.

    This is an exciting opportunity to take part in activities as varied as opening branches in Europe, implementing Consumer Duty, providing cross-border legal advice to support with business opportunities, developing new payment products with a third party, supporting strategies to mitigate the risk of online banking fraud, and negotiating product terms with international businesses.

    Determining proactively, communicating and providing legal advice on Laws, Rules and Regulations (LRRs), ensuring these are adequately reflected within the relevant poli-cies


    • Helping with the critical regulatory change programmes, as well as the development of new products
    • Dealing with day-to-day queries received into the team's inbox raised by the coverage and product teams, as well as other key stakeholders such as compliance
    • Providing transactional assistance, including leading contract negotiations with clients and dealing with client Requests for Proposals
    • Helping in the regulatory change/regulatory review initiatives/projects
    • Ensuring adherence to internal policy, escalating risks and breaches where relevant
    Qualified solicitor with solid academic record, or equivalent expertise


    • Experience with relevant financial services products and applicable regulations
    • Excellent commercial focus and knowledge of the management of risk
