    About Our Client

Our client is a thriving independent Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy practice. They work with babies, children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk; and nationally via teletherapy.

Many of the children they work with have additional needs such as Down Syndrome, an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and sensory processing difficulties.

As a continually growing team, they are looking for the next speech and language therapist to join them on their journey to find the 'fun' in function for the children they work with and to help change the child at a time

    Tasks

    About The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a band 5/6 speech and language therapist to join the team at this thriving and supportive private clinic near Cambridge on a permanent basis. The role is flexible to suit your requirements (between 9-5 on weekdays and with weekend work if requested) and can be full time or part time.

You will be working with children who have additional needs, within the field of developmental difficulties and sensory processing difficulties.

The caseload is variable and will include complex needs and also general developmental difficulties.

The majority of the children are seen in their homes, making exemplary interpersonal and communication skills a must. Duties include assessing, planning and implementing appropriate speech and language therapy interventions for children and supporting their families. Applicants will be supported to develop problem solving and specialist clinical skills essential for meeting the demands of this setting.

    Requirements

    About You

This opportunity is open to you if you are a qualified speech and language therapist with HCPC registration and full membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Applications from overseas candidates may be accepted providing you already have HCPC registration in place.

Recent speech and language therapy graduates will be considered, with regular supervision provided for less experienced therapists. All therapists can expect admin support and training for clinical areas which require development.

You must demonstrate that you are a great team player, you are able to work independently, you have a 'thinking outside the box' approach, and that you're happy to work with a range of people.

You must have your own car and be confident to drive everyday in rural locations. There is parking on site at the clinic but mostly you will be travelling to the family's homes and schools. Ideally you will be based near, willing to commute (or relocate to) the Lakenheath/Mildenhall area as this is where the majority of your caseload will be. You may also be allocated work in Peterborough, Alconbury, Kings Lynn and Huntingdon (by mutual agreement).
