    Pfida are at a key point technically. As we begin to transition our platform for the future, we're looking for team members to sustain a scale up phase.

    Role Description:

    The Principle Engineer role will work closely with the Head of Technology and other Principle Engineers to own the each respective discipline of the engineering function. This hands on role will focus on working with teams to lead the delivery and implementation of aspects of software development. Think testing, observability and code standards. Ideally this role will suit someone with organisation level thinking but fine details implementation to be able to unblock teams day to day but work closely with the wider business and stakeholders to achieve strategic goals through tech.

    This role will suit someone with prior Staff/Principle/Engineering Manager experience from a Software Engineering background.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Manage and unblock the teams technical workflow.

    · Own the documentation and operation of the business systems.

    · Be a business AND developer advocate.

    · Collaborate closely with other Principles and Head of Technology to design and implement technical frameworks and practices.

    · Understand stakeholder requirements and translate engineering to business and vice versa.

    · Work with Head of Technology to build a manage the skills framework for engineers.

    · Work with Business Analysts/Operations to manage delivery of technical projects.

    Skills and qualifications

    Essential

    · Experience working in a cloud environment.

    · Python and TypeScript experience.

    · Wide understanding of differing testing approaches and how to apply these to different scenarios.

    · Understanding of observability and the terms associated with operating operable software.

    · Strong Cloud security principles.

    Desirable

    · Understanding of frontend frameworks and practises.

    · Previous work with IaC (Terraform).

    · Understanding of Serverless Cloud Architecture.
