    Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist to take a Strategic and Clinical Lead role in Perinatal Mental health in Adult mental health services which will make a real difference to the people of North Wales.

    We are looking for a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist at Consultant level to be part of a specialist Perinatal Mental Health team that provides integrated, high quality care and deliver excellent outcomes for women and their families across North Wales.

    Perinatal Mental Health is currently very high on the Welsh Government and BCUHB agenda and this is a unique time to join an emerging new service. The Consultant Lead Psychologist will take a senior leadership role in assessment, treatment and provision of training to other professionals both within the team and in other services. They will also provide direct line management to the other Psychologists within the service.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

    Main duties of the job

    The team is multi-disciplinary and works directly with women and their families providing assessment and support for pregnant women and new mothers with a range of mental health needs. The team works closely with colleagues from maternity, children's services and adult mental health (both in patient services and community teams) offering joined up care co-ordination and acting as a specialist knowledge hub for Perinatal Mental Health. Advice, training and support will be offered to other professionals working across BCUHB, Primary Care and the third sector providers who are delivering low level preventative support to new mothers in some communities across North Wales. The multi disciplinary team works directly with women and their families providing assessment and support for pregnant women and new mothers with a range of mental health needs.
