    Salary range £39,347 to £46,974 per annum
    CMVM/Edinburgh Medical School/Deanery of Biomedical Sciences/UK Dementia Research Institute
    Full-time, 35 hours per week
    Fixed-Term, 3 years in first instance with possibility of extension.


    The Opportunity:

    Join the Hasel Lab as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Edinburgh Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences and UK Dementia Research Institute (see ) to explore how astrocytes at the borders of the brain contribute to brain function and dysfunction in disease.

    Your skills and attributes for success:
    PhD or MD earned or expected in a relevant discipline (neuroscience, biology, etc.).
    Expertise in molecular biology, working with mice and processing of brain tissue.
    Experience with microscopy and image analysis.
    Experience with or desire to learn generating and analysing single cell RNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics data.
