Overall Purpose of the Job:


Key Activities and Accountabilities:


  • Provide input into the development of a 5year strategy for the Product Line within the area of responsibility and ensure it is communicated across the business. Including ownership of TRM.
  • Act as custodian of the technology and SME for specific product.
  • Monitor implementation of strategy, identifying and agreeing targets for the Product Line and reporting progress against targets. Work should be conducted in close cooperation with CPL BDM and delivered together.
  • Monitor changes in regulations (local regulatory bodies) and technology that may affect operations and advise management on any product development arising. This must include our current patents and future patents as well as competitor analysis. Expand our coverage and protect our IP.
  • Work with CPL and Regions to prepare, implement, and deliver short/medium term plans to deliver budgets; understand and work to CAPEX thresholds.
  • Act as Design Authority and provide technical approval for methodology within the product line.
  • Support both CPL and Regional operations team to provide governance over planned interventions.
  • Attend meetings with clients to discuss requirements, proposals and specific projects or scopes of work. 9. Represent Expro in trade shows, technical gatherings, technical communities such as SPE as a SME, present as required.
  • Working across the global product group to support our complimentary well integrity service offering.
  • Propose new products and service requirements and introduce based on firsthand knowledge of customer/market needs. Where appropriate, input to "buildtomarket" business cases, new market/segment penetration and optimisation plans for area of responsibility.
  • In conjunction with Business Development, monitor the external market and develop effective product specific sales plans for area of responsibility and work with CPL BD to deliver.
  • Provide internal sales support and training on product as SME.
  • Provide technical input to contracts/tenders; where necessary work with Business Development teams to execute winning tender strategies for key target customers.
  • Establish operational standards for the Product Line to enhance product/service integrity and ensure these are effectively communicated and adhered to.
  • Develop key competencies and training courses with L&D to support services using our approved mediums.
  • Assist Product Line Deliver Service team to continuously develop, update, and audit our services process and documentation.
  • Support operations to actively manage product line assets for optimum utilisation as per targets set through BSC.
  • Ensure product line detailed track record is kept upto date and regularly reviewed.
  • Support supply chain to develop key vendors both commercially and technically. Ownership as the focal point for those vendors globally and development of alternative suppliers is key.
  • Assist with the development of product line goals for relevant employees and contribute to performance and competency assessment of Product Line employees as required; support the development of a global skills base for product line operational, technical and sales employees

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:


  • Extensive technical experience in designated product line.
  • Sound commercial knowledge and an understanding of financial principles.
  • Strong HSEQ,
  • Sales and Marketing and Leadership experience.
