    Job Description

    Looking for a highly motivated, coachable, self-employed Physiotherapist to work in an expanding business in Peebles. Dr. Chad Woods, Physiotherapy stands out among other practices for its unparalleled manual interventions and unique approach to relieving pain to restore movement. We utilise a multidisciplinary team to efficiently address patients' dynamic needs. We have top-notch equipment to enhance the quality hands-on treatment we provide. Therapists must be able to obtain their own transportation, laptop/tablet for charting, current HCPC, CSP registration, and Enhanced DBS. This position is very flexible, with full or part-time hours available. Any new clinician would likely have a full caseload in a very short amount of time if they so desired. All new clinicians will be offered training in skills sets to match that of the team and any new graduate will be offered a mentorship program to expand their skill set.     Responsibilities

    As a physiotherapist at Dr Chad Woods Physiotherapy, you'll need to:

    • work with patients who have a range of conditions, including neurological, neuromusculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory, sometimes over a period of weeks or months
    • perform multiple manual based interventions and have a hands on approach to patient care
    • perform a clinical assessment and diagnosis in order to treat their physical problem/condition
    • design a plan of care and manage plans that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques, and which may include specialist rehabilitation, life-style medicine, long-term strategies, and clinical techniques
    • involve parents and carers in the treatment, review and rehabilitation of patients
    • educate patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions
    • empower patients, through education and advice, to take control of their own care
    • write patient case notes and reports, and collect statistics
    • liaise with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, consultants, occupational therapists and social workers, to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention
    • keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients
    • supervise student and junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy support workers
    • be legally responsible and accountable
    • be caring, compassionate and professional at all times
    • manage clinical risk

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor's (required)

    Experience:

    • Physiotherapist: 1 year (preferred)

    Licence/Certification:

    • HCPC, CSP (required) BLS (preferred)

    Work authorisation:

    • United Kingdom (required)
