Position:


In this role you will be providing support across a wide range of financial and administrative duties within the Finance team at Open GI, the Finance Assistant Apprentice will gain a Finance Assistant Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting.

After the successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to join the team as a permanent Finance Assistant.


Your key responsibilities

  • Support the posting of purchase ledger invoices
  • Support raising purchase orders for the business
  • Post the credit card and employee expenses
  • Support the creation of sales invoices
  • Prepare payment requests on Lloyds Link business banking
  • Post and allocate cash receipts onto ledger
  • Maintain cash books for Open GI
  • Complete monthend bank and balance sheet reconciliations with investigation of variances
  • Assist in the statutory audit process including sample collation.
  • Support the Credit Control Team

Your Apprenticeship training:


  • Assistant accountant Level 3 provided by BPP
BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team.

Using their expert knowledge, we've purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.


Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent GCSE's including English and Maths (Grade C/5 or above) Essential

Skills

  • Exceptional time management skills, with prioritising workloads essential.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, telephone and face to face).

  • Proactive professional, who can approach work conscientiously.
