Description
Due to ongoing expansion Currie Solutions require an experienced
Operations Planner to join their team in Ecclefechan.


Please note this position is night shift and is on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.


In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing sub-contractor relationships to ensure they are providing the expected service levels to the business.


The job:


  • To manage data flows between departments, subcontractors and customers.
  • To ensure the all relevant information is relayed to all affected areas.
  • To ensure that our Traffic Management System contains both accurate pricing and accurate costs.
  • Plan allocated Vehicles/*Area(s)/*Shift(s).
  • Routing and scheduling of vehicles and drivers in the most cost effective manner and within time parameters set by customers.
  • Communicate all relevant information to drivers.
  • Deal with telephone (driver and customer) or pass to relevant department if appropriate.
  • Accurate input of data into traffic management system ensuring all required data fields are completed.
  • Monitor and aid drivers to run within tachograph regulations

Experience/ qualifications and skills required:


  • Ability to work in a fast pace, ever changing environment.
  • Good understanding/knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hands on experience of Fleet Planning.

Additional skills preferred:


  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar position
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK

Schedule:

  • Night shift

Experience:

Fleet Planning: 3 years (preferred)

  • UK
Road Haulage: 3 years (preferred)
