    We wish to appoint an Assistant Curriculum Leader with drive, energy and enthusiasm, who is keen to join the successful and friendly Performing Arts Team at The Buckingham School, which has seen many students go on to Performing Arts Colleges, Schools and workplaces.

    Term time only: Yes

    Salary Type: MPS/UPS

    Salary details: TMS1 (£30,000) ~ UPR3 (£46,525) FTE & TLR2 £5,297. For the right candidate, additional TLR available for Pastoral Head of Year £7,263

    Contract type: Permanent

    Hours: 32.5

    About the role

    This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to join this popular and successful school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and well qualified individual to work with an experience Curriculum Leader and successful and forward looking Performing Arts Team. The ideal candidate for the post would be able to teach KS3 and KS4 Music. We currently offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities as well as Level 2 BTEC courses.

    This opportunity will focus on driving the development of an exciting curriculum for Music within the Performing Arts Curriculum, ensuring that all students enjoy Music and make excellent progress. Our curriculum has recently been redesigned to support the School's Vision and Virtues in creating students who succeeds both academically and creatively.

    The school produces a whole school musical once a year, which involves students from all year groups, and several smaller performances showcasing our Performing Arts students. An area that we are particularly proud of is having performances and extra-curricular activities that are enhanced by the student ambassadors in the department. This is something that we are keen to celebrate and build further. We are also members of the Buckinghamshire Music Trust and have the facilities to host a range of peripatetic teachers.
