Would you like to work in one of the top performing schools in the Humber region? If so, we want to hear from you

Our students are amazing. They are intelligent, articulate, funny, welcoming and appreciative of great teaching. They deserve the best and we intend to make sure that this is what they receive, in every subject, every day of their school lives.

Our staff are phenomenal. They are dedicated, passionate, dynamic, caring and inspiring. We strongly feel we have a world class team and we firmly believe that in every department we have strong teams that are capable of creating the truly great school that this community deserves.

Our facilities are outstanding. With a £10+ million investment, our school boasts state-of-the-art classrooms, fantastic IT facilities, our own on-site Alternative Provision (Headway), and an unrivalled on-site Sports Village which includes a full-size 3G football pitch, a skate park and a dance studio. As a result of the school being oversubscribed year on year, we are expanding our facilities with the addition of a new teaching block comprising six specialist and general classrooms, which will be ready in 2025.

Together, this makes Baysgarth one of the top performing schools in the Humber region, with seven consecutive years of record breaking, and outstanding results. Our high-ability students make more progress than in any other local school and our inclusive, wraparound care for every single student and strong community approach ensures that every child is valued and encouraged to reach their potential.

We seek to appoint a passionate, dedicated and highly motivated Teacher of English with the skills and experience to deliver successful outcomes both at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Our English Department have built a reputation over the years for delivering creative and engaging lessons that challenge our students to reach their potential.

We are oversubscribed in almost every single year group, which reflects the first-class facilities we have on site as well as our fantastic students and staff who make the school a great place to learn. We pride ourselves on achieving outstanding outcomes in a school with an inclusive ethos that has superb pastoral care and a strong commitment to staff mental health and work-life balance.

Baysgarth School is an 11-16 comprehensive and will have over 1,000 students on roll from September; a number that is predicted to rise even further over the next few years. The successful candidate will be expected to have pride, passion, positivity and vision and a desire to ensure the school has the highest possible reputation in the local community and beyond.

Baysgarth School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS.
