We are looking to recruit a keen, motivated individual to fulfil the Warehouse Supervisor.You will be involved in the manufacture of cartons for leading brands in the food, drinks and pharmaceutical sectors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervision of a small team of Warehouse Operatives (2 x sites) and Drivers, including setting tasks for the day, prioritising workload, giving picklists and board info, assisting with housekeeping (making room)
- Ensuring all safe systems of work and standard operating procedures are always adhered to within the department
- Coordinate with your colleagues to provide absence cover and ensure a smooth handover of duties between shifts
- Printing of shipping request lists, organising picking and splitting inventories for picked shipping requests
- Organising transport for all shipping requests/outwork
- Producing outwork paperwork ready for delivery to suppliers
- Receipting of outwork and other goods
- Ordering and producing POs for consumables (pallets, wrap, top sheets etc)
- Liaising with production and planning to ensure deliveries are made on time
- QA events (check sorts and scrappages)
- Stock queries and overcoming stockrelated challenges
- Ensuring daily safety checks (MHE and HP vehicles) are completed
- Housekeeping (yard, trailers, racking, MHE)
- Liaison with Warehouse Dispatch Clerk to ensure deliveries are booked in and delivered on time
- Organising collections (outwork and customer returns) in conjunction with Production Planner
- Completion of shipping requests after goods dispatch
- Booking of safety inspections/MOTs for HP vehicles. Organising delivery and collection of vehicles
- Tachomaster upload for HP vehicles
- Reporting MHE breakdowns to suppliers and arranging repairs
- Organising stocktakes and resolving anomalies
- Assisting with query resolution from BDM/CSRs
- Communicate, practice and promote the values, ethics and culture of Harrison Packaging
- Any other duties that can reasonably be expected of the role
- Experience within a busy warehousing environment, preferably within a similar role with supervision responsibility
- Knowledge of software packages and MS Office proficiency
- Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management would be desirable
- Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company procedures
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
- Handson commitment to getting the job done
- Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to continually learn and improve
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Able to plan and prioritize workloads
- Good people management skills
