    Description

    As an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Installer, your core responsibilities involve the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air source heat pump systems in domestic dwellings. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) principles, refrigeration cycles, and the specific mechanics of heat pump systems to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling solutions. Key tasks include conducting thorough site assessments to identify the most suitable locations and configurations for Air source heat pump units, accurately installing and connecting the system components to existing heating and electrical infrastructure, and calibrating systems for optimal performance.

    Additionally, you are expected to provide comprehensive guidance to clients on the operation and maintenance of their Air Source Heat Pump systems, adhere strictly to safety and building codes, and stay informed about the latest industry standards and technological advancements. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in various environmental conditions, and strong customer service orientation are essential for success in this role.

    Required skills:

    Ability to follow instructions/blueprints/survey forms

    Excellent time management skills

    Strong verbal communication

    Strong decision-making skills

    Able to endure both hot and cold weather

    Knowledge of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 standards

    CIS registered (if Sub Contractor)

    Education & Experience:

    NVQ Level 3 – Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP)

    G3 Unvented hot Water – Water Regulation

    Preferred but not essential Gas Safe Registered

    Desirable:

    Gas Safe Registered

    Working knowledge of Mitsubishi / Daikin / Vaillant

    Previous experience of working within the ECO Industry
