The Events Sponsorship Executive role is part of the Partnerships and Events team at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of managing and enhancing the organisation's sponsorship programs.

This position, reporting to the Manager of Global Partnerships, is integral in identifying sponsorship opportunities, assisting in the proposal process, and maintaining sponsor relationships, ensuring the achievement of contract objectives.

The role includes supporting third-party sales services and collaborating with internal teams, aligning with RICS' ambitious growth plans over the next three years.


Key Achievements & Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management and expansion of RICS' sponsorship programs, aligning with the organisation's strategic growth objectives.
  • Identify and vet potential sponsors, support the sponsorship proposal process, and maintain an active pipeline of new sponsors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sponsorship strategies to attract new partners and enhance sponsor engagement.
  • Manage relationships with thirdparty entities and sponsors, ensuring effective communication and fulfilment of sponsorship agreements.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, such as Event Production and Event Logistics, to ensure sponsor needs are met and engagement is maximised at events.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operational delivery of sponsorship programs.
  • Engage in creating and maintaining a sales database, including cold calling to generate new sponsorship leads.

Expected Deliverables:

  • Development and management of a sponsorship prospect pipeline, delivering proposals, and managing contracts.
  • Monthly reporting and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Active contribution to a dynamic and robust sponsorship strategy and plan.

Experience Required

  • Experience / Skills / Values Required:
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Proficient in managing a sales pipeline and experienced in sales forecasting.
  • Excellent time management, selforganisation, and multitasking abilities.
  • A passion for events and willingness to travel occasionally within the UK.
  • Competency in gathering market and customer information to understand sponsor needs.
