As Senior Finance Assistant you will be based in the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) and will support the Finance Business Partner, and other departmental/Faculty based colleagues.

You will be a member of the ScHARR Financial Management team.

This team reports directly into the ScHARR Departmental Manager.

The team operate as a Finance Business Partner team, aligned to the department of Finance and working together with the Faculty's Finance team to deliver financial management services across the department and the Faculty.

We are looking for a strong communicator who can effectively analyse, interpret and challenge complex financial information.

You will need the ability to give information and advice and, where required, support the financial management of the department's core resources.

A good general education, 5 GCSEs grades A-C, including Maths and English is essential.


You will be an enthusiastic, hands-on finance professional, who is comfortable getting involved with various areas of University finance relating to departments and faculty, and someone who is happy working with both non-financial academic colleagues as well as finance colleagues.
