We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Co-Ordinator who is looking for their next challenge within a well established global business based at their Sheffield site.

You will be joining a prestigious steel manufacturing company who offer a stable business with future growth plans.


Working for this organisation, the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in the development and continuation of the supply chain function.

You will play a key role in ensuring raw material availability for production whilst achieving optimum cost control. You will contribute towards monitoring performance of relevant existing suppliers and continuously seek to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness. Reporting to the Head of Logistics and communicating with the management and logistics teams on a day to day basis, other duties will include;
Forecasting, planning and reporting on raw materials and any other relevant consumables
Liaising with production planning to ensure timely deliveries of materials
Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers alongside monitoring and evaluating their overall performance
Analysing and implementing continuous improvements to supply chain networks
Benchmarking existing and possible alternative suppliers in order to assist the company to achieve optimum cost control
Reporting on any future possible supply chain vulnerabilities
Producing reports on a daily and weekly basis


The successful Supply Chain Co-ordinator will have previous experience of working within a similar role and will ideally have knowledge of working with SAP although this is not essential.

In addition to this you will;
Have confidence to be able to make decisions in a timely manner
Possess excellent attention to detail
Have experience with Microsoft Office
Be a confident communicator to all stakeholders internally and externally


This role would suit someone who has been working as a Supply Chain Co-Ordinator, Supply Chain Planner or Demand Planner within an engineering, production, manufacturing or logistics environment.

Salary paying circa £32,000 per annum
Permanent contract
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm
