We're Smart Tec Solutions operating throughout the UK offering Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services, specialising in retail, commercial and education sectors.

We offer a true design and build service to all sectors.


Position
We are searching for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance department and report into our Finance Manager. This entry-level role would suit someone looking to start their career in Finance in our fast-paced department.

You should have a positive work ethic and be proactive by nature, developing internal and external company relationships by professional and courteous interpersonal communication.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Reconciling credit card statements
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Dealing with invoice queries

Requirements:


  • Related experience in an officebased role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Highly organised

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Current or previous experience within finance or accounting.
  • An understanding of Xero, Procore, CIS and DRC
  • AAT or studying towards, training available.

Salary:
Up to £23,000 per year

The Smart Tec Solutions Head Office is based in the iconic Fort Dunlop building, in Birmingham. We also have an office based in Openshaw, Manchester.

We were founded in April 2015 by Jon Potter and Andrew Constantinou, with a small team of highly skilled engineers.


We have directly employed SMSTS site supervisors, plumbers, heating engineers, electricians, and apprentices alongside with a team of trusted sub-contractors.

Our team operate nationwide day or night, including weekends to meet the needs of our clients.


The ethos of our company then and now is to deliver a high-quality service which is competitively priced for all our clients.

To do this, we continuously develop our processes and policies, this involves regular staff training and monitoring of current procedures, which enables us to deliver the best possible service.


Since the company was founded, we have managed to build up a reputable brand which has led to us forming excellent working relationships with contractors and sub-contractors alike.

We are always keen to build and develop new working relationships.

To date, we have delivered in excess of one thousand projects for M&S through main contractors, along with projects for other companies.

The projects have ranged from £500 to £3.2 Million.
