    Manufacturing Engineer

    Permanent

    £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + 10% employer pension contribution

    Days - Monday to Friday

    Our client is a specialist and leading manufacturing business within the Aerospace Manufacturing sector. An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the growing engineering team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize your experience in precision engineering to optimize machining processes and workflows.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing strategies that meet project requirements and deadlines.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to machine shop personnel to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in machining and precision engineering.

    Requirements:

    • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Proven experience working in a machine shop environment within the aerospace sector.
    • Expertise in precision engineering and machining techniques.
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, turning, and milling.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
