    Description

    Position Purpose

    To prepare, test and maintain Control assets.

    Main Outcomes of the Position

    To enable the UK Assets team to deliver Control assets to projects efficiently and professionally.

    Expectations

  • Preparing, Servicing, Testing and Modifying Assets Control and electrical equipment to ensure the assets can be delivered to a high quality, reliability, and compliance standard.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing industry standards and adhering to legal regulations.
  • Workshop floor presence to supervise the Controls team and freelance crew, as required.
  • Deputise for the Asset Operations Manager where required.
  • Work with the department Management team to coach and develop the Controls team.
  • Accountable for implementing and maintaining departmental SOPs and checklists.
  • Be responsible for the satisfactory delivery of Control assets to integration.
  • Manage agreed assets prep, taking ownership of the role, and always being proactive, ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are met.
  • Interpret technical drawings and maintain and deliver Control assets.
  • Carry out inspections and required testing to maintain the Control assets stock ready to rent.
  • Contribute to NCR investigations and efforts to mitigate any issues.
  • Collaborate and efficiently communicate with other departments to deliver projects.
  • Maintain tools, work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe working practices.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge through training and mentorship.
  • Occasionally travel to complete site work as required by projects.
  • Identify and propose ideas and solutions to improve TAIT assets' build quality or efficiency.
  • Use Rentalworks or other asset management systems to keep current and accurate records.
  • Lead best practices regarding workshop QHSE and participate in company QHSE meetings as required
  • Position Requirements

  • A good all-around general education.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, workshop machinery, and accurate record keeping.
  • Able to read schematic drawings.
  • Experience working in a Control Engineering environment and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Two years experience in a supervisory role.
