    Royal Surrey Digital Service has the complex challenge of running and building secure and robust digital platforms to deliver and enhance patient care, as well as acting as an enabler to improving business operations and driving value for money from the Trust's investment in technology.

    The post holder requires skills in a number of disciplines to support the delivery of the administrative support required by the department to deliver its objectives. Monitoring and championing processes and procedures to support:

    • Financial Management
    • Procurement
    The post holder will need to flexible to meet the demands of the department to move seamlessly between tasks and disciplines as required. With the ability to build effective working relationships with the department's Senior Management Team, staff, other Trust departments and suppliers, to manage conflicting demands. Main duties of the job The post holder reports to the Head of Digital Business Management and is part of the Digital Business Management Team. The primary role of this post is to manage the day to day Financial and Procurement functions of the department, to support the efficiency and productivity of the department

    The post holder will support the Head of Digital Business Management in ensuring results driven Business Management Function. Accurately monitoring and reporting against all areas of the service where the post holder has specific responsibility. In addition, the post holder will support in the identification and delivery of service improvement across their areas of specific responsibility.     • Support with the provision of quality reporting to provide the Senior Management Team with a comprehensive understanding of the administrative and governance functions relating to the Financial Management and Procurement to support the day to day running of the IT Department.
    • Be responsible for the raising of requisitions, receipting and responding to invoicing queries on SBS for the IT Department, providing reports relevant to information available within the system.
    • Monitoring and reporting on procurement activities within the department and working colleagues to ensure Trust standards are followed in all aspects of procurement.
    • Be responsible for ensuring that all requests for the raising of requisitions are completed in a timely manner, working with other members of the department to ensure the information is accurate and complete, prior to raising requisitions.
    • Support with large procurement activities working with members of the IT Team and HPL to ensure that Trust Standard Financial Instructions are followed, procurement processes are followed to ensure that procurements are compliant and provide best value for money.
    • Support the management of IT Purchase Requests in terms of the management of ordering items requested, and managing the handing over of deliveries to the relevant IT Teams to ensure that IT Purchase Requests are completed.
    • Work with members of the IT Department to ensure stock levels of essential IT equipment is maintained, and ordering IT equipment in a timely manner to ensure that the department can meet the needs of the Trust.
    Person Specification Qualifications Essential
    • Educated to degree level or with significant relevant experience.
    Desirable
    • Project Management qualification or Business analysis course or willing to undertake e.g. Yellow belt/Prince 2/QI or equivalent experience
    Knowledge & Experience Essential
    • A good working knowledge of Human Resources Policies and Procedures
    • Strong interpersonal, reporting and communication skills
    • Proven troubleshooting skills
    • Experience of healthcare business management
    • The ability to work with multiple stakeholders to develop project plans and work streams with them.
    Desirable
    • Knowledge of IT concepts and systems
    • Experience of IT services
    • Experience of liaising with clients, collating requirements and mapping them to business processes
    • Understand the importance of data, data structures, confidentiality and the use of data
    • Project and process management skills demonstrated through experience and/or education
    • Experience in sourcing approaches and evaluations linked to business needs
