    Bartholomew & James (FS) Ltd – Independent Financial Advisers

    B&J are pleased to be recruiting for an ambitious Financial Services Administrator/Paraplanner to join our Belfast office offering pensions, investment and protection advice to existing and new clients.

    We are a small Business and this is an excellent opportunity to work very closely with the Managing Director to provide support in three critical areas to continue to make the Business successful in this varied and challenging opportunity:

    Role Specification

    1- Advisory Support

    · New Business lifecycle tracking and submission.

    · Research products and funds for new Business.

    · Client Servicing support on an ad hoc basis.

    · Administration of Group Protection schemes including Group life, Group income protection and Group Private Medical Insurance.

    · Liaising with Providers to gather Policy information and LOA.

    2- Supporting the Business

    · Provide a regular analysis of all fee income from provider statements and reconcile payments.

    · Taking proactive responsibility for all office printing and stationery and making orders in timely fashion

    · Other general office management tasks as needed such as a new website

    3- Quality Assurance

    · Work with the MD to implement a quality assurance process for the annual client reviews.

    · Provide monthly Operational MI on Advisor CPD and Training progress.

    · Undertake regular product and platform due diligence

    Person Specification

    The Ideal Person will demonstrate the following characteristics:

    · Good team player with a positive can-do attitude and flexible to adapt to the changing needs of a small business.

    · Good working knowledge of excel and ability to work in lower-level financial detail to reconcile data with appropriate checks and balances.

    · Well organised and able to plan own workload.

    · Logical thinker with a good eye for detail.

    · Process orientated mindset to document processes, identify process improvements and ensure correct processes are followed.

    · Good at presenting data and information in a succinct manner

    · Good working knowledge of IFA business and terminology

    · Good communication skills and ability to drive own personal development.

    · Good IT skills specifically Office 365 (excel and word mainly)

    · Previous IFA / Wealth Management experience

    · Experience of using Financial Services provider portals
